FiveM LSPD application questions

Police is the most applied-for job on almost every FiveM roleplay server, and the one where a bad hire hurts the most RP. These are the LSPD application questions FiveApply ships with, which work just as well for BCSO, SASP or any sheriff or state police department.

What to look for in a police applicant

  • Patience over action. Good LEO roleplay is mostly talking: traffic stops, scene control, interviews. Applicants who only mention chases and shootouts usually burn out fast.
  • Procedure they can explain. They don't need real-world training, but they should be able to walk through a stop step by step.
  • Fairness to criminals. Cops exist to create RP for everyone else. Ask how they'd keep a scene fun for the other side.
  • Time on duty. A department full of people who log on once a week can't cover a city. Ask about hours and stick to it.

Running police hiring as a department

On bigger servers, the police department hires its own people. In FiveApply, each department (LSPD, BCSO, EMS, a business) gets its own forms, ranks and reviewers. The Chief and command staff review LSPD applications without seeing anyone else's, can only give the Discord roles you allow, and post new applications to their own channel. Server admins still see everything.

  • Ranks with their own permissions, such as letting Sergeants vote while only command can approve.
  • Interviews booked from the application, with reminders by Discord DM (Starter plan and above).
  • Applicant history: earlier applications to any department and linked alt accounts, right on the review page.
